Beauty Trainer & Salon Owner Trains In Permanent Makeup
Here we have Jane who has her own Beauty Salon and also a Beauty training academy. Jane trains around sixty 16-18 year old students in Level 2 and Level 3 beauty therapy each year, so she is a very busy woman. Jane had decided it was about time she did something for herself for a change rather than always just giving to others & forgetting about herself.
Considering her extensive 15 years in beauty Jane felt permanent makeup was a perfect fit. Jane has toyed with the idea for a number of years speaking to many training centres at various trade shows so did lots of research before deciding to train with Katy Jobbins at the Permanent Makeup Training Academy.

At the end of Day 1
“I chose to train with Katy as I wanted 1 to 1 training so it could be bespoke around my existing skills. I didn’t want to spend time learning what I already know and I knew from my own experience of training in groups that training 1to1 is always the best way to learn.
“I thought the whole colour thing would be really really scary but actually its not at all and Katy made it really simple. So I’m confident about colours now and I experienced tattooing my first set of eyebrows on the dummy head, so really looking forward to day 2 now working on real clients.
At the end of Day 2
“I’ve been inspired. It’s so nice to learn something new and use what I already know as well. Katy trains really well and does everything step by step so I don’t feel out of my depth at all. I also think it will help with what I do in my own training. It was really exciting to see Katy performing a treatment on a real client start to finish especially as it was a difficult client.
Her thoughts on working on her first client …
“It was amazing working on a real client especially one with older skin but also someone who had been having permanent makeup for a number of years. It was good to see that even though she had treatment in the past the end result still made a big difference and looked amazing.”
“I was not daunted at all working on a real client as Katy is right there watching you and she just give you so much confidence to do more”.
At the end of Day 4
“I worked on Lips today and found it very enjoyable. I thought I might find it difficult but it wasn’t at all. You just have to keep calm and follow the steps and you can do it.”
“I already have about 14 clients lined up to do various treatments on them, so I’m really keen to get started as quick as I can. ”
“Katy just inspires confidence with her style of training, and I haven’t felt there was anything I couldn’t ask her. I never thought coming in on day 1 I would be able to achieve so much by day 4. The training has been intense, so don’t book on this course if you lack concentration, as its probably the equivalent of 4 weeks training in a group scenario. It’s been exhausting but inspiring!. It’s hard work but really good fun.”
“I’ve also signed up for the business mentoring as I believe it will also help with my two other businesses and make them more valuable so that I can pass them onto someone else, as that is my exit strategy over the next two years, and then I will just concentrate on the permanent makeup”.
